Terms of Use
Agreement
These Terms of Use apply when you access URLX, create or open a short link, convert a webpage, inspect URL metadata, or use the URLX API. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use URLX.
The Service
URLX provides URL utilities, including short links and conversion of public webpages to Markdown or rendered HTML, plus metadata inspection for public webpages. Conversion and metadata results may be incomplete, outdated, or unavailable when a website blocks automated access. URLX does not endorse, control, or guarantee third-party websites or the accuracy or safety of converted content or extracted metadata.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for the URLs you submit, how you share short links, and how you use converted content or metadata results. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit, reproduce, download, publish, or share the relevant URLs and content.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use URLX to create, share, or support:
- phishing, credential theft, impersonation, or deceptive redirects;
- malware, drive-by downloads, botnets, or exploit delivery;
- spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or abusive automation;
- harassment, threats, doxxing, or unlawful surveillance;
- child sexual abuse material or sexual exploitation;
- content or activity that violates applicable law;
- copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights infringement;
- attempts to bypass URLX security, rate limits, or abuse controls;
- links that hide the true destination for fraud or other harmful conduct.
Moderation And Removal
URLX may disable, remove, or refuse short links at any time, including when a link appears abusive, illegal, harmful, unsafe, or in violation of these terms. URLX may also preserve and disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms.
Abuse Reports
To report abuse, send the short URL, the destination URL if known, and the reason for the report to the URLX maintainers using the maintainer links in the footer. Copyright owners should include enough information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing link, contact information, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized.
No Reliance On Links
Short links may point to third-party websites. You should use your own judgment before opening or relying on any destination website. URLX is not responsible for third-party content, products, services, security practices, or privacy practices.
Availability
URLX is provided on an as-available basis. The service may change, break, lose data, become unavailable, or stop operating. URLX is not obligated to maintain any particular short link forever.
Disclaimers
URLX is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, URLX and its maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to use of URLX.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless URLX and its maintainers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your submitted URLs, your short links, your use of URLX, or your violation of these terms.
Changes
URLX may update these terms. Continued use of URLX after an update means you accept the updated terms.
